Sexual Violence Victim Advocates

Break the Silence! Stop Sexual Violence!

Sexual Violence Victim Advocates (SVVA) is a peer education program designed to increase campus awareness about sexual violence and its impact on women and men through education. To accomplish this, SVVA fosters an informed, caring campus environment that believes in equality and respect. SVVA also provides a variety of educational programs focusing on risk reduction strategies and resource information about sexual violence

Sexual Violence Victim Advocate (SVVA) would like to extend an invitation to present educational programs during the spring 2012 academic semester. Programs can be presented to student organizations and clubs, such as sorority, fraternity, and athletic groups. Faculty may also invite advocates into classrooms for lecture and discussion purposes.

Titles of programs include:

Abuse: Stop Hurting Us

Child Abuse and Impact on Adulthood

Sexual Assult & Harrassment

If you, or someone you know, are interested in scheduling a program, please contact SVVA’s Graduate Assistant at svva.eup@gmail.com.

SVVA programs range in length from 30-45 minutes, less than 30 minutes does not permit ample time to present fundamental facts, myths, and risk reduction strategies. Time for discussion during and/or following programs is recommended. It is preferred that there is a 1-2 weeks’ notice in order to properly schedule and plan for the event.
